Kelsee White is a Lead Counselor with McLeod Addictive Disease Center, working in in direct care with clients who suffer from opioid dependency. Kelsee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist- Associate. Kelsee graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Newberry College and then went on to complete a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC. Kelsee has worked extensively within integrative care settings providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. Kelsee has worked to raise awareness regarding the opioid epidemic by instituting a “Prevention Day” for clients at the McLeod Center. This is a partnership with Cabarrus Health alliance which allows clients in Opioid treatment with McLeod Center to obtain Narcan/Naloxone-Overdose Prevention Kits on-site at no cost. In addition to the free kits, clients are provided with education and materials regarding overdose prevention and are able learn how to effectively administer a naloxone kit. When Kelsee is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brock, and her two year old daughter, Keagan.
