The Winter School has been designed to serve the needs of many professional groups. All types of school credit are included in the school cost. All choice(s) of credit must be indicated on the registration form during the pre-registration period. Certificates will be emailed approximately three to four (3-4) weeks after the close of the School.
The North Carolina Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB, formerly known as NCSAPPB) has approved up to 29 hours (GSB & SS; based on sessions attended the following specialty hours are available: EBT, ETHICS, SUDV, PSY, CSS, HIV).
The North Carolina Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Studies (NCFADS) has been approved by CRCC for up to 28.5 hours for the Winter School, specifically for CRC, CRC-MAC, and CRC-CS. No partial session credit is available.
Please note that NCFADS no longer offers Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®) continuing education contact hours/credits.
The North Carolina Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Studies (NCFADS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP no. 5673. Sessions that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NCFADS is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Participants must attend all main track classes to receive the 11 hours track maximum. No partial session credit is available. NBCC is also appropriate for those seeking LPC credits.
Certificates for up to 28.5 contact hours of education will awarded upon completion of the School. No partial session credit is available.
Certificates reflecting up to 28.5 hours of Education will be awarded for Social Workers, Marriage/Family Therapists, and Nurses.

Certificates for up to 28.5 contact hours / 2.8 Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) will be awarded upon completion of the School..
*Most professionals do not need the CEU, but only require contact hours or specialty credit (listed above). UNCW provides CEU’s for the Schools.
Appropriate credit for the Winter School will be awarded after eligibility has been determined from attendance records and in conjunction with the above stated attendance requirements.
