Biography

Ms. Carolee Lindsey has more than 30 years of experience in the field of social services, acting as a rehabilitation counselor, social worker, clinical supervisor, and in her current role as Director of Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Services at Catholic Charities Maine Counseling Services (CCMCS) and St. Francis Recovery Center (SFRC). A true collaborator, Ms. Lindsey has enjoyed a strong relationship with the Cumberland County judicial and district attorney’s offices as well as state probation and parole in developing and implementing the Cumberland County Adult Drug Court. In addition, she has worked on numerous successful projects with the Maine Office of Substance Abuse including Co-Occurring State Integration Initiative (COSII) and Network for Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx,).  Carolee has also collaborated on multiple grants with state stakeholders.  A graduate of Rhode Island College, Ms. Lindsay went on to earn her Masters in Education from Northeastern University and a Masters in Social Work from Boston College. She has offered training and coaching in Motivational Interviewing, Contingency Management, Mindfulness, and Addictions 101.  She serves on the executive board of Catholic Charities Maine and the Maine Association for Substance Abuse Programs and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
