MAIN TRACK OFFERING

Please Note: Due to COVID-19, we have modified our schedule based on the needs of our students and faculty. Therefore, we are only offering (1) ONE Main Track for Winter School 2021.

*Main-A runs concurrently during Mini-Tracks B, C, and D.

We hope to include additional Main Tracks for Summer School 2021.

 

MAIN-A. Uncommon Threads in Clinical Supervision

Presenters: Michael E. McGuire, LCSW, LCAS, LMFT, CCS, MINT; Gwendolyn Gilbert, LCAS, NCC, LCMHC

Description: The increasing complexities of treating substance use disorders generates a high demand for qualified clinicians and clinical supervisors. This workshop addresses common contemporary themes in clinical supervision, including the answers to questions such as, what works in therapy, is clinical supervision helpful, am I vulnerable to making unethical choices, how do I handle the risk management aspect of clinical supervision, and, can I defend my supervision approach? Expect an informative and engaging experience as we attempt to answer these and other supervisory inquiries.

  • Monday, February 22: 1:30 – 4:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 23: 1:30 – 4:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 24: 8:30 – 11:45 a.m.

NOTES:

  • Not eligible for CRCC Ethics Credit.
  • NCASPPB Approved for SS (CSS) (2 Ethics Hours).
