Gwendolyn is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Clinical Supervisor Intern and National Certified Counselor with over 15 years of experience in behavioral health and substance use. Gwen graduated from East Carolina University with a M.S. in Criminal Justice and M.S. in Substance Use and Clinical Counseling. Gwen currently serves as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at Agape Health Services and is also the Project Director for Agape’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), one of only 4 sites in North Carolina selected by SAMHSA, provides a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services, particularly to vulnerable individuals with the most complex needs. Gwen specializes in working with pregnant and parenting teenagers, pregnant and parenting women who have faced challenges surrounding substance use and enjoys working with individuals who have experienced incarceration or other involvement in the criminal justice system. She enjoys working in Integrated Care at Agape Health Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in eastern NC that provides integrated behavioral health care and medication assisted treatment/recovery within a primary care setting.
