Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management from Appalachian State University. She is a health educator with the state and nationally accredited Burke County Health Department. As Health Education Supervisor she is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating community health education programs along with supervising the health education staff. She provides evidence based programming to the citizens of Burke County. Lisa also serves at the health department’s Public Information Officer. Lisa has worked in Public Health for the past 30 years.
For six years, Lisa served on the Board for the Council on Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency (dba. Burke Recovery). Burke County Health Department, Burke Recovery and many other collaborating agencies continue to write grants and establish interventions that will help reduce the incidences of substance use disorder in Burke County.
