Biography

Heather Schnoebelen, LCMHCS, LCAS, CSS, CTT-II is the President of Clinical Services and Administration, Elevate Wellness and Recovery in Asheville. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, a Clinical Addictions Specialist, and a Certified Trauma Therapist. She completed her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in wilderness therapy from Naropa University. With nearly 20 years in the treatment industry, her clinical experience includes direct client care and executive leadership roles at inpatient, outpatient, and wilderness therapy programs. She has been a part of developing, designing, and opening for dual diagnosis and trauma informed behavioral health substance use programs. Expertise includes working with the LGBTQ+ community, trauma, mental health, substance use disorders, spirituality, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss.  

Her clinical approach is person-centered, holistic, and humanistic, utilizing evidence-based experiential interventions to support the growth of individuals. She believes in the innate strength of people to heal and is honored to support others as they embark on their journey towards health.  Her passion for this work is undeniable, and she believes that creating connection within individual and group therapeutic settings is the foundation of healing work.
