Biography

Jessie Alexander, LPC is the Vice President of Clinical Services and Quality Management for Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. Jessie has worked in trauma-specific, gender-specific, and developmentally-specific therapeutic settings throughout her career providing in depth clinical services, program development, and clinical and operational management for all levels of care. Jessie served on the founding executive committees for both the Atlanta and Western North Carolina chapters of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

 Jessie’s primary focus is in transdiagnostic treatment approaches, particularly related to the treatment of complex trauma. She has contributed to research and presented on a range of topics including the midlife stage of development and substance use trends, treatment integration for trauma and eating disorders, family dynamics, the phase-oriented approach to trauma treatment, psychophysiology and coping skills, multicultural bias in clinicians, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Jessie completed her undergraduate education with dual degrees in Psychology and Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences, and received her graduate education from Georgia State University in Professional Counseling.
