Kendra Davis, DMin. is a trainer, professional development coach and empowerment specialist, and is a 1999 & 2009 graduate of Winston-Salem State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology (1999) & a Master of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling (2009).She is also a 2016 & 2017 graduate of Apex School of Theology where she earned a Masters of Divinity degree(May 2016) and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Studies (May 2017).
Dr. Davis is an Internationally Certified, Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor, licensed by the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium, the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB), the NC Problem Gamblers Program and the National Association of Forensic Counselors. Her current license and certifications include: Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (CCJP), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (CSOTS). She is presently employed full time with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, where she serves as a general instructor and professional training coordinator.
In 2010, Kendra established K*METAMORPHOSIS, a counseling and professional development firm.. In 2012, Kendra became a published author. Her book Rivers of Life, a collection of life changing sermons and homilies; has been said to be resource that will empower you and inspire you to bounce back from anything. Kendra has released her second book NO MORE DISCOUNTS: “Lessons Learned Living Single!” .In 2016 Kendra released her third book It’s ONLY a Test: “Mastering the Addiction Counselors Exam” a power packed study guide for participatory learners, who require more than a thick book full of words to learn a new concept. This workbook is filled with practical exercises, worksheets and written assignments that engage the reader in a wide range of independent study sessions.
