Description: This session will focus on “Understanding Anonymity and Misconceptions”. How does one maintain their own recovery while working in the recovery field and problems they may have encountered? Attendees in recovery share information and learn from each others’ experiences. A primary purpose of the meeting is to share personal experiences as well as up to date and useful information to help those in recovery.

Description: Long term stress can lead to Burnout; defined as mental and physical exhaustion. Participants will discover signs of burnout, its organizational impact, and steps to reduce and/or avoid burnout. When attendees complete this session, they will be able to adequately define vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout; identify personal stressors that lead to risk factors for these forms of professional impairment; and gain the knowledge of strategies to appropriately address these issues allowing them to be more effective in their respective practice.
