Biography

Ronda Doward, MHA is the Director of Tobacco Prevention with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. She has over twenty years’ experience in public health policy. Most of her career has been working at the local, state, and federal government levels with a primary focus on public health policy. She works with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services since 2014. She was the first NC Federal Food and Drug Administration Program Manager for the tobacco inspections program. She was promoted in her current position in 2017, as the Director of Tobacco Prevention in which she supervises the Synar and FDA tobacco enforcement programs. Ronda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina Central University and Master of Health Services Administration from Strayer University.
