Mr. Braucht’s 14,000+ hours of psychotherapy, supervision and applied community psychology experience focuses on professional and peer workforce development emphasizing continuous process and outcome improvement. Before retiring from Georgia’s criminal justice system, George implemented the Transitional Housing for Offender Reentry Directory and the Reentry Partnership Housing initiatives, opened Georgia’s first two prison-based residential substance abuse treatment programs and the first five day reporting centers and he helped develop and facilitate the Enhanced Supervision Program training for correctional and reentry staff. Other curricula he developed include for Certified Recovery Residence Managers; the REC-CAP, the Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist Academy and the Forensic Peer Mentor Ready4ReentryPro training. George is a Charter Board Member of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, a Recovery Consultant with SAMHSA’s Opioid Response Network and co-founder of Key Justice Empowerment LLC. Additionally, he is a person who is in long-term recovery from alcohol and illicit drug use.
