Biography

Donna Brown, BSW, CSAC has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling.  She has been credentialed in the addictions field since 2000 and been with the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services since 2011.  Currently, she is the Interim Program Manager for DWI Services.  This office authorizes programs statewide, promotes evidence-based practices and monitors 400+ providers to ensure effective services for individuals with DWIs.  Prior to her work in administration, Donna provided direct care for 11 years in a variety of settings including prevention, withdrawal management, inpatient, general outpatient, and SAIOP for clients with and without DWI-related offenses.
