Biography

Richard J. Martin Ed.D., LCAS, CCS is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. He earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School. After a 20 year career in substance abuse services at multiple North Carolina community mental health centers, he entered public education and worked for 10 years as an Alternative School Principal. Richard began his relationship with Dr. John T. Edwards in 1981 and has been an advocate for John’s family systems approach throughout his career in both community mental health and public education.
