Linda is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor & Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Counselor & Supervisor. She graduated with an undergrad in social work from UNC-Greensboro in 1980 and a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Western Carolina University in 2004.
She lives and works in the Asheville area. She developed a service organization, Asheville Counseling, Clinical Supervision, and Training in 2015 to serve the growing population of counselors and social workers in western North Carolina. It since has expanded both statewide and nationally. Her passion is studying, teaching and applying the neuroscience of trauma and addiction in both clinical supervision and in her counseling practice.
Linda enjoys living and working on a farmstead north of Asheville with her husband and 4 dogs. Her past-times are gardening, hiking, and cooking from the bounty of her garden. She is an advocate of a daily yoga and meditation practice as a pathway of resiliency, healing, and enlightenment.
