Biography

Jessica Holton, MSW, LCSW, LCAS is a neurobiologically- and polyvagal-informed private practitioner who specializes in treating Stressor- & Trauma-Related Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, Behavioral Addictions, and Grief & Loss.  She has been an active volunteer leader with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) at the local, state, and national levels, and with Addiction Professionals of North Carolina (APNC).  She has composed many professional newsletter articles, compiled a six-hour continuing education curriculum on addiction, and is a national public speaker.  Jessica is a recipient of the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences Council of Alumni and Friends 2022 Professional Achievement Award (University of Arizona) and East Carolina University’s 2022 Alumni Award.  She was named the 2019 NASW-NC Social Worker of the Year, received one of East Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Performance’s Outstanding Alumni Award 2019, was a recipient of the East Carolina University Division of Student Affairs 2018 40 Under 40 Leadership Award, received the East Carolina University School of Social Work Rising Star Alumni Award in 2012, and was the recipient of the 2005 Community Service Award from the Wilson Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
