Mark L. Crabtree, MHR, LCAS, CCS, a North Carolina native, began his professional counseling career on active duty with the US Navy in 1996. After military retirement and returning to North Carolina in 2001, he worked in a variety of clinical settings as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor. He served in various capacities as a member of the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board from 2007-2012, and again from 2015-2020.
Mr. Crabtree has worked as a Clinical Trainer, Program Manager, District Manager and Program Standards Manager within the NC Department of Public Safety, Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Programs section since 2004. He has conducted numerous professional trainings to include the UNC School of Government and Administrative Office of the Courts. Mr. Crabtree is considered a subject matter expert within the department and is often involved with interagency substance use disorder initiatives such as medication-assisted therapy (MAT) and community re-entry/reintegration.
