Biography

Michael Bridges, MA, LCAS, CCS is a Raleigh native who has been in the behavioral health field for over 25 years. His career began with non-profit agencies, Wake County and State Government, Freedom House Recovery Center as their detox director, and eventually running a private practice in the Johnston County area. Michael is a graduate of the Southeaster Addictions Technology Transfer Center (SATTC) Leadership Institute.  He completed the Addictions Technology Transfer Center Network (ATTC) training for addictions trainers. He finished the Correctional Leadership Development Program with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Specialty area of work is chronically addicted comorbid patients. 

Michael is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialists and a Certified Clinical Supervisor with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Practice Board. He received his undergraduate Sociology degree from Saint Augustine’s University and his master’s degree in counseling from Webster University. Michael is currently working full time at UNC’s School of Medicine, WakeBrook Alcohol Detox Unit as a Clinical Instructor. Michael has a small private practice named Bridges & Associates Consulting, LLC where he consults with agencies that provide behavioral health services along with behavioral health care services.
