Biography

Nicole M. Augustine, MPH, MCHES, CPS is an Advanced Implementation Specialist for the Opioid Response Network. Throughout her career in public health, she has focused her work on understanding health disparities and social inequality. Her focus is on inspiring collective action as a means of driving community change and improving health outcomes. Nicole is the owner of RIZE Consultants, a business focused on working collaboratively with substance prevention professionals to accelerate the innovation of strategies designed to reduce the impact of substance use disorder in communities across the United States.

Nicole has served as the Prevention Director for the Addiction Professionals of North Carolina, the Prevention Coordinator for the Southeast Prevention Technology Transfer Center, and the Director of the North Carolina Behavioral Health Equity Initiative.  Nicole received her B.A. in Sociology from Cornell University and her Master of Public Health from The George Washington University School of Public Health. Nicole is a passionate public health practitioner with experience providing strategic planning services to address community substance misuse issues.
