Biography

Wanda Burger, LCMHCS NCC LCAS CCS ICCS ICCADC MAC, CCMC, SAP, PhD, a former nurse, Wanda returned to school and received a Master of Counseling from Gannon University in 2003. She began working in mental health in 1982 as a psychiatric nurse. In 1997 she returned to college and achieved an MS. Since then she has worked with substance abuse, mental health and dual diagnosis. She is an advanced trauma specialist through NCCTP and the National Trauma Network, is a ACEP for NBCC and NAADAC and  Approved for trainings through NCSAPPB.  She is certified in Prime for Life, Solutions and groups. She owns her own practices and has contracted as clinical supervisor and clinical director and consultant for several large agencies in North Carolina and currently supervises several clinicians for licensing. What she enjoys most is leading trainings for other professionals on weekends. Katie, a Golden Saint and Calvin, A Saint Dane, registered therapy animal assist.
