February 18th through 21st, 2024

The NCFADS Winter School will be presented in an in-person-only format. No virtual options will be available.

Winter School Begins In

About The Conference

The Premier School for Addiction Professionals in the Southeastern United States

The Board of Directors and staff of NCFADS are pleased to offer the 2024 Winter School as an in-person only event.

Participants will be able to earn up to 29 hours, dependent upon attendance. The sessions will include many of the required types of content for credentialing, such as ethics, clinical supervision, and many of the subspecialty credits that NCASPPB requires. We will offer our usual types of professional credits as well.

Attendees will have the same great School experience that is traditionally offered, with exhibitors, networking opportunities, and meals and breaks, with every effort made to ensure a safe atmosphere for participants. NCFADS will comply with all policies and guidance from the NC Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other authorities (at the time of the school).

The 2024 NCFADS Winter School opens Sunday, February 18th at 11:30 a.m. and concludes Wednesday, February 21st at 12:00 noon. Each session must be attended in its entirety to receive credit.

The Foundation Board and Staff thank you for your interest in the NCFADS Schools. If you have any additional questions, please contact Virginia Johnson at ExecutiveDirector@ncfads.org

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The school is only offered for in-person only.
  • CRCC credit is available for an additional charge of $30.00, which must be paid prior receiving CRCC credit.

HEALTH & SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

NCFADS as well as the Embassy Suites are taking necessary precautions to ensure the public health safety of our attendees at Winter School 2024. We will be complying with state and local requirements (if any, at the time of the school) for this in-person only event.

Hand Sanitation

NCFADS is providing hand sanitizer available at the registration desk. Participants are also asked to be mindful of social distancing during breaks.

Special Cancellation Policy

NCFADS will work with any in-person attendee on an individual basis who falls ill or who is exposed to COVID just prior to the School. We do not encourage attendance if you are sick. Please email ExecutiveDirector@ncfads.org if this happens and we will discuss options.

Masking & Social Distancing

*IF* there is a mask mandate at the time of the school, each participant must wear a mask in all public spaces, per the Embassy Suites and Guildford County mandates (if applicable). Please bring personal masks and we will also provide a mask if you need one.

Exhibitors

Exhibitors will be spaced at a reasonable distance from one another, and participants are asked to observe courtesy and social distancing when visiting an exhibitor’s table.

In-Depth + Intense Learning

The Full School Provides up to 29 Total Hours of Credit

Unlike webinars or one day conferences, NCFADS provides professionals and students with in-depth and immersive knowledge, taught over the course of 4 days, and by nationally recognized experts in the field.

Flexible School Packages

1-Day Mini-Track, 3-Day Main Track, or 4-Day Full School Options.

We understand the pressures of being a professional in the field, and furthermore recognize the struggles of acquiring much needed continuing education while operating a private practice. We offer three flexible school packages for your convenience.

Connect. Network. Engage.

Unique Opportunities to Meet Professionals from All Over the Globe

Networking is critical in today’s fast-paced and tech-centric world.  There is no better way to form long-lasting and worthwhile connections like peer-to-peer networking. There are plenty of opportunities during the School to meet and connect with individuals and organizations that may be able to advance your career or professional practice.
