Summer School Begins In

About The Conference

The Premier School for Addiction Professionals in the Southeastern United States

The Board of Directors and staff of NCFADS are pleased to offer the 2021 Summer School in a totally virtual format. Participants will be able to earn up to 33 hours, dependent upon attendance.  The sessions will include many of the required types of content for credentialing, such as HIV, ethics, clinical supervision, and five of the seven subspecialty credits that NCASPPB requires. We will offer our usual types of professional credits as well. And, participants will be able to register for the entire School, Monday-Wednesday only, or single day registration!

Summer School utilizes a conference platform that allows attendees to connect with presenters, network with other participants, participate in interactive polling that provides real time results, and watch each presentation live.

The School opens Monday, July 26th at 8:30 am. and concludes Thursday, July 29th at 3:45 p.m.

All sessions are consecutive, following one after the other, with breaks provided.

Clinical supervision registrants must attend all three sessions for credit to be awarded.

Summer School Objectives:

Upon completion of the conference, participants should increase their ability to effectively care for clients and be able to:

  • Discuss several Substance Use Disorder (SUD) matters specific to North Carolina
  • Identify population specific interventions and modalities with appropriate clients
  • Examine techniques and concepts to employ with SUD clients and families; as well as implement these skills in their daily practice.

The Schools are highly beneficial for addictions and substance use disorder professionals, as well as licensed professional counselors, social workers, school counselors/nurses/social workers, rehabilitation counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychotherapists, integrated care professionals, criminal justice/juvenile justice/corrections personnel, clergy and pastoral care professionals, nurses and other healthcare professionals, health educators, EAP staff, recovery coaches and allies, public health workers, social services staff, and all interested others.
