This scholarship is designed to provide funding to assist an aspiring addiction professional to attend the NCFADS Summer School. The scholarship is designed for a student currently enrolled in a two-year college, technical school, or four year degree program with a specialty in addiction studies. The intent of the scholarship is to encourage individuals to enter the addictions field and develop a legacy of service. The scholarship will cover the summer school registration fee up to the full-school residential option level.
Each applicant should use the NCFADS scholarship application process and clearly indicate a financial need, plans for continuing studies in the addictions field, and how school attendance will impact future career plans. Additionally, each applicant will be required to describe their interest in the addictions profession as well as their perspective on the future direction of the field.
A letter of recommendation from their academic program chair or advisor is also required.
